Remove gaps and pauses from video

Gaps are the intervals between one sentence and the next: hesitations, breaths, waiting. Added together, they steal minutes from your video — and XCut, from Clipixa, removes those spaces automatically.

Why gaps hurt your video

On short-form social video, every second counts. A two-second gap between sentences looks tiny in isolation, but a video with 30 gaps carries a whole minute of "nothing". The result: retention drops and viewers skip to the next video.

Editing those cuts one by one does not scale at volume. It is dozens of repeated decisions — where it starts, where it ends, join, check you did not cut the speech — for every single video you publish.

How Clipixa helps

XCut treats gap removal as an automatic process: the spaces and pauses between speech are identified and removed together, without you marking every single cut on the timeline.

How it works

  1. Upload the video with the gaps you want removed.
  2. XCut maps the gaps between the speech.
  3. Get the compact version, without the empty intervals.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a gap and silence?

They mostly overlap: a gap is the interval between speech (almost always silent), while silence is the absence of sound in any stretch. XCut is built to handle both cases.

Won't this cut important scenes?

Cuts are based on the pauses between speech, not on the visual content of the scene. The goal is to remove empty intervals, not parts of the video.

When will Clipixa launch?
